2007 "SIMONCINI" ZINFANDEL - DRY CREEK VALLEY
This small vineyard, tucked into the rolling hills west of the Dry Creek Valley, is modeled after the Dry Creek Valley Vineyards of old. Planted in 2003, budwood was used from the 100-year-old St Peters' Vineyard, (also the source of the Lancel Creek Vineyard budwood) and was grafted on to St. George rootstock. The vineyard, in the heart of the valley, flourishes in the warm summer sun and rests in the cooler evenings. The rocky red soil stresses the vines during the growing season concentrating its true varietal character, producing a fruit forward wine with intensity, and the Valdez family passion for the vineyards.
Availability - The 2007 "Simoncini" Zinfandel is available on our website, www.valdezfamilywinery.com and can be found in select restaurants and fine Wine shops within California.
